Dr. Dominique Clayton earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Beloit College
and a Master of Arts and Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies, specializing in social
and cultural foundations of education and writing studies, from the University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Clayton’s interests include studying the ways in
which African American English speakers navigate school spaces, the racialization
of language practices and language ideologies, the identity development of college
students as writers, and underrepresented student schooling experiences.

- Miss Penelope Primrose, or “Pibble," supports Bellarmine University's Writing Center by providing invaluable moral and emotional support to our writing tutors and tutees. Her resume also includes her summer as a pictorial support/inspiration intern at local marketing and copywriting firm, WordsFresh. In her spare time, she sleeps 20 hours per day, loves to eat strawberries, and works as an up-and-coming Instagram Influencer and model.
